Greek Pottery
The 6th grade students will create a paper mache vessel in the style of greek pottery. Students will study the different vessel shapes and their uses, learn about the black and red figurative and geometric styles, and the historical significance of the imagery.

Gesture Sculptures
The 5th grade students will create gesture sculpture. Students will create a frame using pipe cleaners and a platform using craft sticks glue together. They will then "fatten up" their figure using foil wrapped around the pipe cleaners. Finally, they students will paper mache over the armature and adjust the figure to the desired pose. We will paint the figures in a monochromatic color scheme.
Paper Mache Letters
The 7th grade students will create three-dimensional paper mache letters by recycling cereal boxes. The students will explore and select a font to use for their letter, we will manipulate the text using microsoft publisher. Then the students will transfer the template, assemble the letter, and paper mache the sculpture. We will decorate and adorn out letters with vibrant colors and patterns.

Mounted Animal Heads
The 8th grade students will create mounted animal heads out of paper mache. They will research the type of animal that they want to create and find reference pictures from all different angles. Students will then sculpt the animal head out of newspaper and masking tape. The mounting plate will be designed from cardboard and then the sculpture will be paper mached. Students will paint the animals using tempera paint.
